You Sparkle

Hi Creative Charm Fans!  Christine here and today is my last post for Creative Charms and I thought I'd share with you my favorites from Creative Charms....all things sparkly.  I clustered together a bunch of sparkly pink flowers (pink gem garden, pink sequin flowers, pink pure blossoms), for this card and they coordinated just beautifully!  I've really enjoyed my time here with y'all!  I'll see you this weekend for the Blog Hop!

Gratitude!

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is just around the corner?  And then of course is Christmas!!  Where is the time going???  This card is embellished with Creative Charms Vintage Ric Rac Ribbon in brown, Amber Gradient Gem Stickers and the leaves from the Fall Medley.  I used and embossing folder on the Chocolate Chip CS from SU to add texture and pop dots on the sentiment tag to add dimension.   Happy Thanksgiving a little early!!

Top view

This tissue box cover was made using the technique from Split Coast Stampers.  My version was made using the Naturals White CS from SU and embossing with Cuttlebug embossing folders and applying ink to paper to bring out the embossing.  I added some embossed punched leaves and inked them to bring out the veins in the leaves.  Added some embellies from Creative Charms, the orange Fancy Felt Flowers and one of the stickers from the Thanksgiving Multi-dimensional chip board stickers.  The top of the tissue box was created using Nestabilities Large Oval die #1 and the Small Scalloped Ovals die #1,  Then the panel was adheared on top and embellished again with the punched leaves and orange felt flower.  This cover will fit righ over top of the kleenex box and can be used over and over again.  Love how this turned out.

Quick and Simple Halloween Fun

Halloween is less than a week away!  Hi, it's Diane today and I have a few quick and easy cards you can make with the October Kit of the Month.  If you still haven't carved a pumpkin, here's a cute way to invite a friend or two to help out.

This cheerful pumpkin from the Vintage Halloween Metal Frames set doesn't seemed to be worried that it is "carving time!"

I changed the brad in the center of the Orange Groovy Petal Medley to a Purple Gem Brad (in the Itsy Glitsy part of the kit) to make it look more "Halloweeny."

A few more purple Gradient Gem Stickers highlight the sentiment and add sparkle.

I made this quick card to send along with a box of Halloween treats for my Dad.  The ghost is from the "Happy Hauntings" Cricut cartridge with tiny black Gradient Gem Stickers for eyes.

The Halloween Multi-dimensional Twinkle Stickers are a great match with this K & Company "Spooktacular" paper stack.

If you are having a Halloween get-together, these spiderweb place cards accented with one of the Vintage Halloween Metal Frames will label your buffet neatly.  I designed the place card for the Silhouette machine using one of the included free shapes.  You can download the file on my blog, Capadia Designs

Don't forget that we will be having a Fall Blog Hop this Friday - the hop will start right here on the Creative Charms blog.

Spooky Cards

Hi everyone!

Lisa here. I have two spooky cards to share with you that I made using the Halloween Twinkle Stickers.

I hand drew both of these spooky images on these cards but if you are not comfortable hand drawing items give this a try.
1. Find an image online that you would like to use.
2. Copy and paste him into some sort of photo editing software or word processor.
3. Resize the image to fit on your card.
4. Before you print, reverse the image and then print on the back of desired cardstock or pattern paper.  (You may want to print two identical images if you want to cut pieces apart and ink as I did with the hat.)
5. Cut a piece of black cardstock for the sign post and attach Twinkle Stickers.
6. The spider is simply cut from pattern paper and I added his legs and web after with black pen.

Frank here was really quite easy if you look at his separate parts.
1. I cut a square out of green cardstock.  I then rounded the bottom corners slightly. Ink.
2. His hair is drawn in with black marker.
3. His eyes are white pearl stickers that I dotted with a black permanent marker.
4. I cut his nose (you could use any shape you want) from the same green cardstock and inked the edges.  *Remeber it does NOT have to be perfect, this is Frankenstein. :)
5. His mouth is just a rectangle of white cardstock.  I then drew in teeth and outlined it with black.
6. Add small green rectangles for ears and neck.  A black piece of cardstock makes his shoulders.
7.  Give him some eyebrows and a scar and you are done!
*I did add some purple gradient gems to the bottom of the card.  I find myself doing this often. After I think the card is done I just have to go back and add a bit of bling.  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful Halloween everyone!

Halloween Crackers

Hey everyone - I have a fun Halloween Treat project to share with you today. I made these Halloween Crackers for son’s classmates. I was inspired by Thienly, my fellow SVG Cuts DT Member and fabulous crafter, here is her version. I made them slightly smaller to fit my candy perfectly.

I made little tags for each cracker and had a blast embellishing with Creative Charms. I used Vintage Halloween Self-Adhesive Metal Frames, Gradient Gems, Vintage Brads and Vintage Jewels to name a few.

Papers are from the DCWV Midnight Spell Stack and Stamps are from Punkin Patch Stamps ~ Trick or Treat. I created SVGs and cut on my Cricut using SCAL so the stamps fit perfect. I am new to stamping and loving it so far! Cracker file is from SVG Cuts.

Thanks for stopping by today --- Please stop on over to my very talented friend Mel’s Blog In Love With A Bug - she is having a Creative Charms Giveaway today that you don't want to miss!

Happy Craftin'!

Fabulous Fall

There's no doubt that Fall weather has arrived here in NY. The air is crisp, and we're starting to see little bits of color creeping into the trees...

The October kit has beautiful colors to play around with...but some people find both Orange and Purple difficult to scrap with. I was one of them....

I've made a Fall card, using the fall seasonal sparkles "fall" word and individual gems sprinkled throughout. Can't forget that pretty Orange Braided Daisy flower, and the ribbon.

I used some pretty lily bee and my cricut to complete the look....

Next in the lineup is a pretty fall inspired layout. (surprised?)

I made a banner and added some of the fall seasonal sparkles to it, I also used those pretty Groovy Petal Medley along with the pretty lily bee papers & stickers.

Thanks for taking a peek. Remember that now's the perfect time to be outside with the camera...you never know when an impromptu photo session may occur....(check out the cute photos in the layout). :)

Happy Scrapping!

A Spooktacular Halloween card

Hi Creative Charms fans - Christine here today to share another silly Halloween card.  I love a fun Halloween sticker and these twinkle stickers from the Kit of the Month are fabulous!  I used them to create a fun sentiment for my card.  I love that they have the purple and green included to give you more colors to play with than just orange and black.  I also added a couple of Black Gradient Gem stickers to my spider for his eyes - adds a fun whimsical feel don't you think?  Have a spooktacular day!

LOVE Kristal

Is it Boo Late??

Somehow the Columbus Day holiday confused my brain and I lost track of days and that is why I am posting so late today!  Well as they say, better late than never!  I am using the October Kit of the Month and love how much you get with this kit.  The card was made using the Halloween Vintage Frame stickers as the "o's" in Boo.  The B is chipboard inked with Ranger Dried Marigold Distress Ink and then stamped with Dusty Concord Distress ink.  Tip: It takes a long while for the ink to dry on the chipboard so I suggest using a heat gun to dry it before handling it.

Here is a close up!

The Halloween Treat was made by cutting the DCWV CS with a Spellbinders die and then framing it with black cardstock and rounding the corners.  I used one of the Halloween Twinkle Stickers to enhance it.

Autumn Tea Lights (and a card too...)

Hi, it's Diane today with something a little different to share.  Sometimes you look at an ordinary object and see it in a completely different way.  The packaging changed on the brand of orange juice we like and when I saw the lids I knew they would be great for tea light bases - with a little help from some Creative Charms gradient gem stickers.

I added various colors and sizes in different patterns on each of the three bases.

I also added gem stickers to the spider bodies and to the centers of the webs.  The spider border and web trim were made with Martha Stewart punches.

For the shortest light, I used some of the Fall Medley leaves applied to the strip of vellum.

If you drink enough orange juice you could do groups of these all around the house!

I used a few more items from my Creative Charms stash for this card.  The card front was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

I used a couple of  Amber Vintage Brads and one Amber Vintage Marble Brad in the centers of some Knitter's Garden - Orange Flowers.

A few gold sequin leaves from the Fall Medley finish the cluster of flowers.

For step by step directions, please visit my blog, Capadia Designs

I hope you have a wonderful Fall day!

Spooktacular Embellishments

Good Morning everyone!

This is Lisa. I wanted to share a Halloween layout I created using this month's Deal. Believe it or not, I only used a few of the pieces on this layout.  There are so many products in this deal, I plan on making a bunch of Halloween cards for neighbors, as well.

Here is the layout I created.  Sorry the color is a bit off, my camera is acting up so I had to use my daughter's camera.

The first detail I added o the layout was this handmade flower and embellishment cluster.  The flower is VERY easy to make.  Simply take a piece of black floss or thread.  After threading it through a needle, run the needle in and out along one side of the ribbon.  Then pull the thread on each end until the ribbon forms a flower.  Add brad to center of flower.  I also created a rhinestone strip along the bottom of the layout.

I did add one extra piece to the kit.  I dug out some of my Creative Charms white pearls to create the eyeballs in the title.  I just used a slick writer to add black pupils to the title.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Hope you have a great week!
Lisa
