Sneak Peek!

Happy Memorial Day everyone!
.
How about if we celebrate the day with a little CHA sneak peek? I got the most delicious package in the mail last week with this wonderful pink kit that will be available in October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
.
What better way to show thank you to that special woman in your life than a shabby gift box? I painted the box with light brown acrylic paint, then added a coat of crackle finish. After the crackle was almost dry I applied a coat of linen colored paint. That is when I got to play with all the amazing goodies in this kit. After putting some lace around the edge of the cover I added pink gem stickers to the lace. I also added one of the cool Flared Flowers to the bottom corner of the box.
.

.
I added a sequin flower to the center of a paper flower I created. After making a tag for the box I added some Gem brads to the bottom of the tag as well.

Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy your week!

Deal of Month for May - Baby Name Collages

May is coming to close - Don’t forget about the May Deal of the Month.

Here are a few projects I created using the Deal of Month goodies.

It is spring and we have alot of babies that have made their debut and some on the way. This first project was a mini-baby name collage. I used a 5x7 shadowbox frame from Joanns. I cut the name and scallop using SCAL (Sure Cuts Alot) on my Cricut.

A close up...

Here is a full size (22 x 9) baby name collage. Frame also from Joanns - but painted white. The room features pink, sage green and some red accents with ladybugs. The area at the right will be a place for the baby’s photo. I used embellishments from the Deal of the Month Kit. Love the variety of elements!

A few close ups...
I am sure you have some little ones making their debut - why not order a Deal of the Month Kit and create a memorable gift that matches the baby’s room?

Think Pink: CHA Sneak Peek

I'm so excited to be able to give you a glimpse of this great collection of Creative Charms products! This pink kit is going to be a special deal available next October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

When I found out I would get to work with this kit, I immediately knew that I would create something with it as a gift to my friend Chris Hertel, who has been undergoing treatment for breast cancer over the past year. Many of you know her work from her blog, as well as from Creative Charms because she is also a contributor here! She has such an amazing, positive attitude, so when I saw this quote, I knew it was perfect for my project:

The pink kit includes the pink gradient gems that I used to dress up my die-cut letters. I love that the gradient gem packs include an assortment of sizes and colors - I used three of the clear gems to accent the scalloped border at the bottom. The kit also includes the pink gem brads that I used as the centers of my floral elements.

Naturally, I also made a card to go with the gift:

That beautiful pink flower is part of the kit, as is the cute little pink butterfly brad.

And of course, there are the gradient gems again! They really make it so easy to dress up a sweet little card.

I hope you enjoy and are inspired!

Here Comes the Bride!

Wedding season is just around the corner and who doesn't love a wedding.  The beautiful bride and the handsome groom and all the time spent planning the perfect day.  I thought I would start with a Wedding Card.  I used one of my favorite embellishments from Creative Charms, the Shimmer Flowers in the Black and Green.  I also added the Vintage Brads both of which are included in the "Deal of the Month" for May.  I also included a layout once again using the Shimmer Flowers in the Green and White along with the Gem Garden flowers to accent the center of the flowers on the bottom.

Remember When...

Remember when you were just 4 years old and your days were spent outside wearing pretty little dresses and riding old-blue tricycles?  What a wonderful time childhood was, and it's hard to imagine that it was that long ago.  I can't remember everything about my childhood, but these are some things that I can recall...swimming in the pool all day long, being picked on by my big brothers, our first puppy, (a Daschund named, Morgan), playing at my Grandmother's home, sledding down a hill in the wintertime, walking to school with my sister, and having a blast at it all!  This photo is one of my mom's favorite, and I suppose I like it too.  For my project this month, I decided to make sort-of an altered frame using this clipboard from 7 Gypsies, I added papers from Webster's Pages, glimmer mist from Tattered Angels, and some oh-so-sweet knitted strawberries and Clear Pure Blossom's both from Creative Charms.  I hope you enjoy.

Quick & Easy Cards!

Happy Monday everyone! It's Lisa Dickinson here, and I wanted to share a few quick and simple cards with you using some of the many fabulous Creative Charms!
CChellocard
blank card & envelope, dotted paper (Creative Imaginations) + stickers (Basic Grey) + ribbon (Ribbon FX) + brads & charms (Creative Charms)

I used a bit of a flower border sticker across the bottom of the card, topping it off with three flowers from the Butterfly Garden Medley Vintage Brad set. I used the fourth flower on top of the metal butterfly. I love the subtle bit of dimension these charms add to the card:
CChellocard(2)

For another quick card, I used some Creative Charms to spruce up a pre-printed monogram card that I got in the clearance section at Target:
CCMonogramcard
card & envelope (Target) + ric rac and button (Creative Charms)

I added a bit of Red Velvet Ric-Rac by slicing on each side of the "D" and threading it through. Then I clipped the shank off a Red Vintage Flower Button and glued it down to adorn the monogram. A super easy way to make a store-bought card just a bit more special!

Finally, I used some of the orange Groovy Petals to make a happy flower pot on this card:
CCmothersday
card (Creative Imaginations) + string flowers (Creative Charms) + patterned paper & stickers (Scenic Route)
Hope you'll be inspired to create some of your own quick cards!

Deal of the Month for May

I am Gail, one of the new designers here at Creative Charms. I am also the lucky person who gets to blog about something new and exciting. Today kicks off May’s “Deal of the Month.” I created two cards using some of the products included in this kit. Believe me when I tell you there are so many goodies included in this “deal,” I could have made cards, layouts and projects for quite awhile. What fun, just look what is included:

• Green Gradient Gems

• Sage Green Vintage Brads

• Black & Green Shimmer Flowers

• Green & White Shimmer Flowers

• Black & White Shimmer Flowers

• White 3D Sparkly Garden Brads

• Green Gem Garden

• Green Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon

• Large White Sparkled Butterfly

• Large Green Sparkled Butterfly

• 2 Small White Sparkled Butterflies

• 2 Small Green Sparkled Butterflies

All for only $8.99! It’s over a $25 retail value.

For this card I used the Shimmer Flowers with Pearl Brads in Green and Black, Black and White and Green and White.  I layered one of the small White Sparkled Butterflies on top of the bow.  Butterflies are so popular now and these are just adorable!

This card I took a Shimmer Flower apart so there was only 1 white layer and 1 small White Sparkled Butterfly, I then sprayed them with Coffee House Glimmer Mist to give them a more aged and antique look. I also used the Sage Green Vintage Brads.

Thank you Creative Charms for this opportunity! I had so much fun making these cards, let me know what you think!

Vintage Butterfly Garden

Good Morning Everyone! It's Charity Hassel this morning. It's really an honor to be on this team. The products here at Creative Charms are so gorgeous and fun to work with.

Today I wanted to share a fun little card I made. I love the garden feel of this paper and wanted to add a little more beauty to it. So, I used these gorgeous 3D vintage brads- butterfly garden medley on it.
For a softening effect I used these Gradient Pearl Stickers- The different colors of the pearls on this are wonderful!

Butterfly Garden Thanks card.

Thanks so much for looking! If you haven't joined us on our facebook page be sure to come join the fun there too!, Charity

Fun and whimsical

Hi everyone, Lisa Dorsey here! I am thrilled to be designing for Creative Charms. I am a scrapbooker and paper crafter. So many of the embellishments offered by Creative Charms are perfect for card making. I love to create cards that are vintage and shabby but also enjoy creating fun, whimsical cards as well.
.
For this card I used the blue pure blossoms for the garden in front of the house and topped them with gradient gems. I also used a gradient gem for the door knob to the house. That sweet butterfly off to the right of the house is one of the blue sparkled butterflies. I just love those.
.
.
As Midori mentioned in a previous post, I have also been designing some kits for kids classes using Creative Charms. The summer camp kits are already available and the others will be on sale soon. If you are interested contact Michelle. I have a posted a sneak of one of the projects on my blog.
.
Have a fabulous week!
