When I was planning to start Creative Charms 2 years ago, I was thinking logo would represent my company and products. Looking at my stash of products, many of them are butterflies. Suddenly, I found butterfly share similar symbolism with the craft and art we undertake. Butterfly represents growth and beauty. The growth and beauty of a butterfly share similar symbolism with the craft and art we undertake. Just like scrapbooking, it is a representation of one's growth and beauty for the person in the scrapbook and the scrapbooker themselves. We start out by taking small timid steps, wrapping ourselves in our cocoon. Suddenly, the scrapbook, the scrapbookee, and the scrapbooker have become something even more beautiful than imagined."

Crazy for Crochet!

I have always loved crochet, even before it became the "in" thing. I'm basically a country girl and to me crochet reminds me of bygone days and country life. However, crochet can be girly, modern, classic, just about anything! It all depends on the way it is used and the theme and feel of the design. Creative Charms has an amazing line of crocheted products...from flowers to strawberries, they have it in crochet! For this layout I used two different sized crocheted flowers mixed with the Creative Charms felt flowers. Love the combination!

The Vintage Poppies are comprised of rich velvet and sparking gems.

Card and ideas to use by Leah Farrar-White.

1. cut out a flower from a piece of patterned paper, adhere vintage poppy.
2. LAYER! just keep on matting! add pop dots or dimentional tape to lift one of the layers. It will add interest to your card and really bring the sentiment and flower to focus.

Butterflies, Flowers and Bling! Oh, my!

The Dream Garden Butterflies - the delicate silver and bit of shimmer really adds so much to your paper craft projects!
The Dream Garden 2" Flared Flower- sheer, sparkly and oh so sassy!!!
Itsy Glitzy!- they are SPARKL-iscious!!!

Some ideas you can take from this LO to use on your own paper projects! LO and ideas by Leah Farrar-White
1. "Clump" your Creative Charms!!! . they look lovely alone. in a cluster they really sparkle and shine!
2. SEW! your sewing machine will add texture and interest to your projects!

3. Make your own "alpha stickers"- use a coordinating color and handwrite your journaling. cut out letters and adhere!

4. Can I say scallops??? They are HOT right now! just make your own. trace a piece of scalloped paper and then cut it out. I traced my patterned paper scallops with a marker after cutting it out to add some more depth.

5. Cover Chipboard Alphas. If you don't have chipboard alpha that works on your page...cover some you have and cut out with a craft knife! ink edges for a little pop!
